Recently, Liu Jianyi, professor and assistant dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Xi'an Jiaotong University, visited the Joinhope Industrial Park to deepen the connection between schools and enterprises, and explore new paths for the integration and innovation of artificial intelligence technology with modern agriculture and seed industry. The two sides focused on Xinjiang's local seed industry and agricultural scenes, discussed the path of intelligent technology landing adaptation, and conducted in-depth communication on the future cooperation directions such as establishing a normalized cooperation mechanism, carrying out joint technology research, and promoting the industrialization of scientific research results.

Liu Jianyi said in his speech that Xinjiang has a vast territory, profound seed industry and rich field test scenarios, which provides an excellent practical carrier for the development of modern agriculture enabled by artificial intelligence technology. The School of Artificial Intelligence of Xi'an Jiaotong University has accumulated solid scientific research and technology advantages in the field of computer vision and deep learning algorithm research and development. At the same time, the current general AI algorithm is difficult to adapt to Xinjiang's complex light, saline landform, multi-crop mixed field special environment, there is a landing adaptation short board. The college hopes to rely on Joinhope mature industrial platform, high-quality field germplasm resources and actual combat application scenarios to jointly polish the exclusive AI model suitable for Xinjiang's local agricultural environment, so as to promote cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent research and judgment of crop growth and accurate identification of diseases and insect pests to go out of the laboratory and land in field production, and to open up the key link for the integration and development of scientific research and seed industry in universities.

Yao Xin said in the exchange that digitalization and intelligence are important trends and key supports to promote the high-quality development of the seed industry. At present, many core links such as agricultural field production, daily management, and experimental monitoring in Xinjiang are still based on manual operations. In the work of accurate field data collection, early warning and screening of diseases and insect pests, and normalized dynamic monitoring of large-scale fields, operational efficiency and Refined management level still has a lot of room for improvement. The industry has urgent practical needs and broad application prospects for the localization and scene-based implementation of intelligent technology.
